Greeting Farm - Spring Fairy

This is a new Greeting Farm digi stamp. I knew I had to color her when I saw her. I love whimsical stamps. I used Prismacolor colored pencils for this card. TFL!

Why not right? I love fall but I miss the flowers of springtime. So I colored up this Sarah Kay image from Stampavie. This one is colored with Prismacolor Markers & Copics.

Hello! ...and a challenge!

Well hello blog world! Yes, I did take another long break from blogging. Had many things going on so I decided to hang low for awhile. But now I'm back, and made my first card again! This card is for the Mo's Challenge Blog, #6.

Also, I wanted to do a "shout out" to Susana's Custom Art and Card Design, for picking me as the winner of their blog hop candy this week! Thank you so much for the prize. This is what I won, and I can't wait to get the goodies in my hands to make some cards!

Bono has nothing on my daughter. Here she is with her PINK harmonica and some cool PINK glasses. She's all about pink. ;)

Enjoy!

I wanted to color a redhead so I tried it out on this card. The stamp is from Whiff of Joy, design by Elisabeth Bell. The redhead coloring took sooooooooo long to accomplish. I studied quite a few famous cartoon redheads. And some vary from red to orange. I wanted a mix of both since I know that redheads have many different mixture of coloring in their hair. With this card, I actually picked out the pattern paper first, then colored the stamp image to match the paper.

HAPPY LABOR DAY! Enjoy your weekend and stay safe!

Enjoy the little things

I bought some new watercolor papers last night and it made a HUGE difference in blending with distress inks. I painted with Canson Watercolor papers, in 140lb, 300g. This paper is 100% better than the Beinfang papers. Alot more easier with blending Tim Holtz Distress Inks. Definitely a keeper.

Supplies used:

  • SCACD Stamps by Elisabeth Bell
  • Hero Arts Stamps (sentiment)
  • Tim Holtz Distress Inks: spiced marmalade, red brick, scattered straw, faded denim, vintage photo, brushed corduroy, walnut stain
  • Rubber Stampede dye ink pads: sky blue, green, olive green, yellow
  • Canson Watercolor paper, coldpress, 140lb, 300gsm.
  • Claudine Hellmuth Brushes
  • Gorgia Pacific cardstock 11olb.
  • Bazzill cardstock
  • Heidi Grace papers-ladybug
  • Prima flowers
  • May Arts ribbon
  • Kaiser Kraft pearls
